This semester:

ANTH 1101: Introduction to Anthropology, FALL 2012.

Section A meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00--9:20 am, in Room 114 Young Hall. The class starts at 0800, so please be on-time! Please do not bring food into the classroom. Water and coffee are OK!

There are two course texts, both required. Window on Humanity, 5th Edition, by Conrad Kottak, and Culture Sketches, 6th Edition, by Holly Peters-Golden. Additional readings will also be assigned.

Much of this class involves use of the Vista program. Each student is responsible for checking into Vista for the class at least once or twice a week. You will find the Syllabus, Class Calendar, Test Schedule, and Study Questions for each segment of the course on Vista. There will be late news there too, of changes in the planned course.

Sections B and C meet on Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 0800 and 1100 with Dr. Neil Duncan. His Office is the same, 307 Barnes Hall, and office hours follow his classes. Students in his classes will be given additonal information in the classroom.
